WORKSHOP INFO - TJHOKO CHALK PAINT:

 In this 4 hour Tjhoko Chalk Paint workshop we will introduce you to the wonderful world of Chalk Paint and its many uses. The prime objective of our classes is for you to learn a new skill, relax, have fun and let the creative juices flow. Each workshop participant will receive a sample board to try all the techniques as well as a Keepsake to decorate using the technique this prefer. The following techniques will be demonstrated and explained to the workshop participants:      

          🌸Distressed technique using Vaseline                         

🌸Blending (Ombré/Bermuda) both will be demonstrated. 

          🌸Dry-Brush;                                                            

           🌸Stencilling using paint & Stencil of Paris.

Participants can decide which technique they like more to use for their workshop project. Workshop Include paint and all tools to complete your project/keep sake.

HAT BOX WORKSHOP –

During this workshop you can make use of Chalk Paint, decoupage paper, lint, 3d paste, stencilling to create your master piece hat box.  The price include your hat box, chalk paint a selection of decoupage paper, lint to choose from. It also include a wood box handle and all the tools you need to complete your project. (A wide range of embellishments and handles is available additional should you so wish).

MOSAIC MIRROR/STEPPING STONE WORKSHOP: 

The 4 hours morning/afternoon Mosaic Class hosted by Jabezz Arts & Craft Shop, will teach you all you need to know about basic mosaic skills, from design and colour, to basic cutting with a wheel cutter (glass tiles) as well as grouting. Students will use ready cut tiles in this class, but will have the opportunity to learn to use a glass tile cutter. The basics of mosaic techniques will be explained, including the direct method. Each stage of the process is different so there’s little chance you will be bored. With each step we demonstrate, explain and advise, helping you to execute your own ideas. Workshop Include all basic tools and materials you need to finish your project.      A small basic project will be made from start to finish which can be taken home by the student. You can choose ONE of the following items for your basic class: Stepping Stone; Wooden Cross; Pot stand; Small Mirror 400x400; Huge range of wood templates to choose from, depending on availability.

STRING PAINT / FLOW ACRYLIC POURING WORKSHOPS/ OR STONE PAINTING/POURING – workshop include all the tools you need to complete your 2 art works. (You are going to create 2 sizes of art work), Very Important: Bring 2 black bags with you to put your artwork in your car – it might be slightly wet and we don’t want your vehicle full of paint.

Discover the fun world of acrylic pouring in this morning workshop! Learn all about working with free flowing paints, mediums and gels, playing with ratios and combinations to create different pouring consistencies, thicknesses and effects. Acrylic pouring is a fun painting technique which creates beautiful abstract works of art…..'thinning' the paint down to a pourable viscosity improves the flow rate which breaks down the elasticity of acrylic paint and creates amazing colour flows with dramatic cell structures.

KOLLE KUNS / DOT ART FOR BEGINNERS WORKSHOP:

Each artist has their own story to tell, so let’s embark on our Dot Art Journey together. Our goal is to harness the natural creativity that lies within us one colourful dot at a time. Dot art encourages visual attention, creative thinking, helps develop hand eye co-ordination and is a perfect way to start building the foundations towards your creative inner. FIGURINES GARDEN ANGEL / FAIRY WORKSHOP

Create your own garden angel/ fairy. We will teach you how the techniques and skills you need to make your own garden figurine, from the wire template to tips on how to paint it when it’s done. All tools and equipment to finish your project is included in the price.

SILOCONE MOULD MAKING & CASTING WORKSHOP (CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE IN CENTURION)

This workshop will get you started in silicone and polyurethane mould making and casting. In this workshop the fundamentals of how to create moulds will be demonstrated. You will get the chance to make a silicone block mould and casting.

LIFE CASTING SCULPTURE WORKSHOP: HAND CASTING & MOULD MAKING FOR A PAIR OF HANDS OR YOUR OWN HAND @ R895.00 (CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE IN CENTURION)

Life casting is a historic art technique practiced by several ancient cultures. The practice of life casting was wide spread in the 19th century, during which it was closely linked to both art and science, and was considered a standard part of the sculptor’s technique. Life casting, whether interpreted as a normal sculptural process, documentary piece or affectionate souvenir, soon gave rise, with its near perfect reproduction of reality. It is the process of creating a three-dimensional copy of a living human body, through the use of moulding and casting techniques. Compared to other three-dimensional representations of humans, the standout feature of life-casts is their high level of realism and detail. Life-casts can replicate details as small as fingerprints and pores. During this workshop, you’ll learn all the techniques to create a cast mould of your hands. You’ll study the attributes of plaster, how to pour a set of good casts, limit bubbles and other imperfections, and open the moulds without damaging the casts and how to detail the final product. At the end of the session, you will bring home a HAND or a pair of life-like hand casting to be used as a trinket dish, decor or keepsake. Session Includes: – All materials & tools for the session – You’ll be making a mold for a pair of hands (all yours or with a companion) then cast it to create the final product.
